Cola®Det OE

Triglyceride Emulsifier

Cola®Det OE is a completely formulated system with mild anionic and amphoteric foaming surfactants and a structuring agent. It is prepared and shipped as an easy-to-use lamellar concentrate, and is designed to produce opaque emulsions of typical triglyceride oils without the use of heat. Up to 20 wt. % of an oil can be fully emulsified into water for a stable dispersion. The resulting product can be more fully viscosified with the inclusion of polymeric agents such as guar, xanthan, or cellulosic gums.

Dispersing of polymers into a water phase followed with Cola®Det OE can yield highly viscous, foaming products. Other actives such as humectants, alpha hydroxy acids and proteins can also be added to the aqueous phase. Oil soluble additives such as vitamins, esters, and silicones may be included provided they are soluble themselves in the oil of choice.

Shampoo/Body Wash Concentrate

Suga®Det Mild is a mild, naturally-derived concentrated blend of sulfate-free surfactants for use as a base for personal care cleansing products. This blend is free of ethoxylates (1,4-dioxane), alcohols, diethanolamides, lauryl sulfates, laureth sulfates, parabens, and formaldehyde. Suga®Det Mild features Suga®Nate 160NC, Colonial’s 100% natural APG-based surfactant that offers high foam and unparalled mildness. The remaining surfactant ingredients in the blend are also derived from natural, renewable resources.

  • Suga®Det Mild is “Derived Natural” with a Natural Origin Index of 0.89 in accordance with ISO 16128 guideline.

Suga®Nate 100NC

Naturally-Derived High-Foaming Surfactant

Suga®Nate 100NC is a high foaming sulfonated surfactant based on a naturally derived alkyl polyglucoside derivative. Suga®Nate 100NC offers good emulsification, mildness to the skin, and excellent lime soap dispersion to give the formulator maximum flexibility in the preparation of light and heavy-duty cleaners. Suga®Nate 100NC can be used in dishwashing liquids that feature outstanding grease emulsification, mildness to the hands, and excellent foam stability. Suga®Nate 100NC exhibits superior cleaning in very hard water, reducing the need for expensive builder in the formulation. It is also suitable for use in acidic formulations such as those containing glycolic or α-hydroxy acids. The stability of Suga®Nate 100NC at any pH makes it desirable in many formulations for industrial, institutional and household applications.

Suga®Nate 160 Dry

100% Biobased Sulfate-free Surfactant in Anhydrous Form

Suga®Nate 160 Dry is a sulfate-free primary surfactant in anhydrous form. Using Suga®Nate 160 Dry, formulators can begin with a high-foaming product and build to preferred aesthetic properties without concerns of irritation to eyes and skin. Suga®Nate 160 Dry is also very low in toxicity and is 100% natural carbon biobased, derived from natural materials.

Suga®Nate 160NC

Sodium Laurylglucosides Hydroxypropylsulfonate - 100% Natural Carbon

Suga®Nate 160NC is a naturally-derived, high-performance surfactant suitable for a variety of personal care formulations. Using Suga®Nate 160NC, formulators can develop a high-foaming product with discriminating attributes without irritation to eyes and skin. Suga®Nate 160NC is very high in natural character, very low in toxicity and cost-eff ective when compared to other surfactants in typical sulfate-free formulations.

Suga®Nate 160NC meets the requirements for ingredients that may be included in goods and services bearing Nordic Swan ecolabelling.

The Safer Choice Program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency certified Suga®Nate 160NC as Acceptable for use in Safer Choice-certified products and for listing on CleanGredients as a surfactant.

Suga®Nate 160NC also meets criteria for direct release under EPA’s Safer Choice Standard and the use limit for this ingredient no longer applies.

  • Direct release products are approved in outdoor applications that are likely to bypass sewage treatment . Products include home car washes, cleaners for use in power washers, boat cleaners, drilling muds, graffiti removers, fleet disinfectants, window cleaners, and the like.

Readily biodegradable per OECD 301 methods.  This product meets the criteria for a surfactant under the EU Detergents Regulation (EC) 648/2004.
