Betaine Replacements

Cola®Teric Sultaines replace betaines for foam boosting and viscosity building and offer a variety of benefits compared to betaines:
- Higher solids (50% – Sultaines vs 35% – Betaines) with no additives which can result in shipping and handling savings
- Same or better viscosity response (by active) also enables lower usage rates of sultaines over betaines
- Preservative-free without caustic pH allows the formulator greater flexibility in preservatives to add to the finished formulation
- Lower irritation potential when compared to betaines
- Improved compatibility of soap in hard water
- Favored by Whole Foods for the Premium Body Care List
- Lower EWG scores (Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine = 1 vs. Cocamidopropyl Betaine = up to 5)
Cola®Teric Sultaines are Greener
- More natural raw materials are used in the manufacture of Cola®Teric cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine than other leading brands. For formulators interested in making their product more eco-friendly, Cola®Teric sultaines offer greener and more sustainable characteristics.
